A funny thing happens to men.
We start working for our family...

We convince ourselves the overtime is for them.
The business is for them.
The promotion is for them.
The bigger house.
The nicer neighborhood.

And sometimes it is.
But here's the danger.
We begin confusing the means with the mission.
The workout isn't the mission.
The business isn't the mission.
The money isn't the mission.
Even date night isn't the mission.
They're all tools.
Practices.
Means.
The mission is becoming the kind of husband...
the kind of father...
the kind of man...
whose family flourishes because he was there.
That's why I train.
Not so I can look better.
So I can carry more.
That's why I work.
Not simply to earn more.
So I can provide faithfully.
That's why I pray.
Not to check a religious box.
So I can love with greater patience and wisdom.
Every practice should serve a person.
Not your ego.
Not your image.
Not your ambition.
Your wife.
Your children.
Your community.
That's stewardship.
And I think it's the missing ingredient in modern masculinity.
Most men are trying to become the best version of themselves.
A Patriarch // A Father Who Leads // asks a different question.
Who is relies on me? Who's future depends on the man I become?
That question changes everything.
Because suddenly...
